Ben Carey, 50, of Bowersville, died Aug. 25, 2019. A funeral service was held Aug. 28, in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel in Royston.

Ann Marcengill, 87, of Lavonia, died Aug. 25, 2019. A funeral service was held Aug. 28. Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia was in charge.

Christopher Owens Jr., fetal son of Christopher and Jennifer Owens of Lavonia, died Aug. 26, 2019. A memorial service was held Aug. 28, in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home in Lavonia.

Anthony Hansell, 71, of Hartwell, died Aug. 22, 2019. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marvin Fortner, 42, of Lavonia, died Aug. 20, 2019. No formal services are planned at this time. Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia is in charge.

Joyce Green, 52, of Hartwell, died Aug. 25, 2019. Arrangements will be announced by Mack’s Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Hartwell Chapel.

Tim Chastain, Sr., 55, of Royston, died Aug. 22, 2019. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston is in charge.

Larry Frank Brown, 78, of Bowersville, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019, at AnMed Health in Anderson, S.C.

Joseph William Hughes Jr., 66, of Hartwell, died  Aug. 18, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, Dewy Rose.
