The Hart County High School boys and girls tennis teams open up the season 0-1 after dropping all sets to a tough Oconee County team.
Two seniors make the All-Region team, one senior and one junior were named as honorable mentions, and senior guard Dakota Phillips was tabbed as the Co-Player of the Year for Region 8-AAA.
After back-to-back losses to start the season, the Dogs will look to get back on track at home against Jasper County on Feb. 16.

With a win over Monroe Area in the first round of the region tournament, the Lady Dogs look to host the first round of the state playoffs with a win over Oconee County.
A new tradition at The Hartwell Sun has begun, as we have teamed up with the Hart County Charter System to present an Athlete of the Week presented by McGee Heating & Air.
The Mat Dogs will send one girl and four boys to compete in the State Meet in Macon on Feb. 15-17.
With the win over Franklin County, the Dogs secured the No. 2 seed and clinched a spot in the state tournament.
Diamond Dogs look to gel together early before they get ready for first pitch on the road against Madison County on Feb. 13.
